Hello everyone! Love and prayers from everyone here at My Emanuel!
I’m a new Christian, I submitted my life to the one true King in August of 2011! Didn’t have a clue what I was doing as I was unchurched for 43 years! I’m 47 now! So I started praying constantly as I had plenty of free time on my hands because of how God got my attention! (That’s a different sermon..lol ) Anyway God revealed to me very quickly that I was to evangelize! So I started telling people the good news! Now remember that I was unchurched and had no bible or church! I lead a 95 year old man to Christ because I was full of the Holy Spirit! All I knew was to pray and wait and meditate and act because that was what God was telling me to do. In America we require instant gratification. We all want God to “do something now!” When was the last time you just prayed and waited? We must pray believing that God will move! It may not be the answer that we expected but He will answer! His timing is always perfect! Jesus prayed to the Father! He waited for the answer!
Let’s practice this in our lives.
Pray from your heart. Pray for His will to be done in whatever it is!
Wait for God’s answer, remember it may not always be what you think. It usually isn’t quick either.
Meditate on the answer, talk to God! Spend that much needed quiet time with God!
Act on the answer! Don’t hesitate! Receive the answer and be blessed!
We must slow down sometimes to speed up! I for one learned this the hard way. So pray and wait, find a way to get that quiet time and then act accordingly to His answer! As hard as it is in our fast paced world have patience!
Psalms 27:13-14 NLT
Yet I am confident I will see the lord ’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the lord . Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the lord .
1 John 2:5-6 NLT
But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.
