Sometimes in life you can feel all alone, like you don’t have a friend in the world! Never forget: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Psalm Chapter 23 verse 4 KJV) – the Lord never promised us it would be easy, we are not promised health, or wealth, or success, or freedom, we are simply promised that even when the pain and suffering seems like more than we can bare: … My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness… (2 Corinthians Chapter 12 verse 9 KJV).
Every trial you face, every valley you walk through, ever painful moment where you don’t think you can take another step… trust in the Lord! Trust in His mighty hands to bring you through the dark night! The Lord has made the promise: Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Deuteronomy Chapter 31 verse 6 KJV).
As your strength begins to fade and your desire to go on starts to fade, when your hands begin to slip from the rock you must remember that the Lord is there, giving you strength to face the world, to overcome the enemy. As the world hated Him so it will hate you but as He overcame the world we will overcome by His blood! Never forget the truth as the savior whispers through the storm: …I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew Chapter 28 verse 20 KJV)
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Hebrews Chapter 13 verse 5 KJV)
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Corinthians Chapter 3 verse 16 KJV)
Never forget that even if you feel alone, the Lord is always watching, beside you, protecting you, waiting for you to call on his name!
Lastly we would like to share “Foot prints in the sand” by Mary Stevenson (Zangare). The first time I read this poem I felt a powerful wave of happiness and sadness at the same time, how powerful to remember the Lord is always there, in good times and bad times, to walk with you when you are strong, to carry you when you are weak! You can find out more information about the origin of this poem at the official web site click here.
Footprints in the sand
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints,
is when I carried you.”
